Description: The European Commission is pleased to offer LPS22 Student Grants for European students enrolled in EU higher education institutions and programs (MSc, PhD, PostDoc) and interested in attending the Living Planet Symposium 2022.
ESA is managing these grants on behalf of the European Commission as a part of the EU-ESA Copernicus Programme cooperation.
Application Process: If you are a MSc, PhD or PostDoctoral student enrolled in a Higher Education institution (University, College etc.) in one of the Member States (MS) of the European Union (EU) you are eligible for the LPS22 Student Grants.

Eligibility to apply for grant
In order to be eligible to apply for the LPS22 Student Grant:
Extent and method of sponsorship
The LPS22 Student Grant sponsorship is intended to cover the cost of participating student’s economy travel fare from designated departure points to the conference location as well as cost of accommodation, local transport and other living expenses.
The student awarded the Grant can claim a maximum sum of 700 Euro as a partial reimbursement of his or her costs.
The Grant will be paid out after the LPS22 conference and this pay-out will be based on demonstrated expenses (i.e. originals receipts).
In all cases students will be responsible for the arrangement of their own travel to LPS22, their registration to LPS22 and living arrangements in Bonn.
They will also have to make their own arrangements for passports, visas, travel insurance and medical insurance.
For reimbursement students must provide all the required documents, confirmations and receipts in a timely manner for processing (maximum 6 weeks after the symposium).

Students who are selected for and accept LPS22 Student Grant conditions commit to taking the following actions:

Applicants must act, at all times, in such a manner that is consistent with EU’s reputation and statute and does not hinder EU’s reputation and status or the reputation and envisaged positive impact of the LPS22.
The EU shall not be held liable for any damage, including:
Students are not covered by any EU medical or travel insurance and are required to make appropriate arrangements for their own medical, repatriation and travel insurance, including coverage for loss of, or damage to, their belongings. EU reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
